Dr. Wm. Joel McCall concluded his 17 year pastorate with Lakeshore Church PCA on Lake Norman, NC and responded to the call to serve with Equipping Leaders International. Joel has ministered in church planting and church revitalization. He is married to Sarah, has three children and is a grandfather.
He received his education at Columbia International University, Moody Bible Institute, Jerusalem University, Westminster Theological Seminary and he has completed his D. Min at Reformed Theological Seminary.
His passion is the ministry of the Word of God and encouragement in the local church whether in the USA or overseas. He became involved with long-term ministry to teach church planters in Romania shortly after the collapse of communism. He has been involved in an ongoing ministry with the start of the first presbytery in historical Romania.
After living and studying in Israel for over a year, the door has opened to teach at Israel Theological Seminary to help train Russian and Israeli Jewish church planters.
Beginning to travel with Don Mountan, some dramatic personal changes happened for the McCall’s. For the last 3 years Joel has also been appointed as an instructor to pastors and has now joined Equipping Leaders International. With a pastor’s heart, Dr. McCall has completed six conferences with Ugandan pastors, having taught over a thousand pastors and church leaders in such areas as Leadership, Stewardship, Biblical Counseling, and Biblical Interpretation. He was deeply moved by the incredible needs and opportunities in Africa and could no longer resist a change of call. Joel is thrilled to be involved in the significant movement of God’s Spirit in Africa and Israel.
The Lord has given him a passion for missions and it is his prayer that he will be used by the Lord in world evangelization and international discipleship for Jesus Christ.
