Jonathan was born in a pagan home. Early in his life as a teenager, he heard the gospel at the Nigeria Reformed Church, repented, and became a believer. However, his repentance was met with stiff opposition and persecutions from his parents. Nevertheless, he was heavily ministered to from the Gospel of Matthew: Blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and exceedingly be glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Matt. 5:11-12).

Since then, Jonathan has delighted to speak about the Savior, and to serve under Him. His wife, Chinyere, was also met by our gracious Lord, Jesus Christ. She was also called out from a pagan family. Now, as a Christian family, the Nwojis are raising our four children in the fear of the LORD. Chinyere serves as the Director of the Izzi Motherless Babies’ Home, Oswanka. She loves raising orphans in the fear of the LORD, and making them happy for God’s glory.

They live in Ebonyi State, Nigeria, where, with Equipping Leaders International, Jonathan plans to begin by training leaders in the Nigeria Reformed Church, as well as those from other denominations. They believe the people of God will be encouraged seriously to glorify their Savior.
