The Lord brought my bride to Himself as a child and me as a teen and He brought us together in 1968 as husband and wife for His glory and our adventure in grace! After graduating from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1971 and serving as an assistant for a few years, we settled into serving the same church in New England for 35 years. Because of God’s grace in and through His people, we grew up and the Lord grew our family to 2 boys and 2 girls who helped, and are still helping us, to grow up.
Resigning from the pastorate with the love and blessing of the church, we have been serving as their “missionaries” with Barnabas International, providing pastoral care or “member care” for some of God’s “global servants.” As part of our Barnabas work, I am passionate about the value, importance and privilege of lovingly encouraging/teaching/serving pastors and indigenous church leaders in the developing world. The Lord has so graciously made me a pastor, taught and is teaching me. The thought of His using me to encourage other pastors to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ through study of His Word and point them to the gospel of grace, is just an undeserved honor and privilege that I love.
