Matt was raised in a Christian home in Brentwood, Tenn., and attended Western Kentucky University (BA 1999). He has over 20 years of experience as a communications professional in the non-profit and private sectors. He is a recent graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary. Prior to attending seminary, he served eight years with an international Christian ministry as a church mobilizer, where, as director of communications, he also produced over 100 podcasts for the ministry. Matt has a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Williamson College, and has served in many leadership roles over the years.

He is most passionate about evangelism and mobilizing the church to fulfill the Great Commission. He loves the outdoors, and is a long time nature photographer. He and his wife, Khakki, have been married 20 years and have four young children.
