Rev. Pat Williams

Instructor

Pat and Fran are both native Floridians. Pat grew up in Miami and Fran in Orlando, but they met through a mutual friend in Dallas, TX while Pat was on a business trip there. Pat was raised in a Christian home, but came into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the ministry of Rev Steve Brown while attending Key Biscayne Presbyterian Church at age 29.

Pat sensed the call to ministry soon after he and Fran were married and living in Dallas, and moved to Jackson, MS to attend Reformed Theological Seminary. Initially thinking he would go into singles ministry, his heart was redirected toward church planting during his senior year at RTS. Upon graduating, they moved to the Boca Raton, FL area as Pat was hired on as a ministry intern at Spanish River Church, a PCA congregation that was a sending church for church planters.

As his internship was coming to a close at Spanish River Church, Pat received an invitation to consider a church plant near Kissimmee, FL, and after a visit to the area and meeting with the home missions committee of the ARP presbytery, accepted the call to plant a church there. After ten years as the church planter and organizing pastor at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, Pat and Fran decided that they needed a break from the stresses of full time ministry. Pat served five churches in the central Florida area as pulpit supply or interim pastor over the next seven years, while Pat worked in the area of commercial office furniture sales to federal government agencies. He retired from that career in 2019.

Pat was recruited by his long time friend and fellow church planter, Paul Pepin to be a part of the work in Cuba. He is excited about the opportunity to help train the pastors there, and especially about helping train new church planters in a place that is ready for a major movement by the Holy Spirit to bring people into the kingdom of God.
