In the ever-shifting currents of ministry, leadership, and life, it is deeply comforting to know there is One who is always the same and who is always with us (Hebrews 13:8).
As leaders around the world face uncertainty, whether from cultural instability, personal trials, or the weariness of serving in hard places, Spurgeon reminds us to anchor our hope not in the fleeting treasures of this world, but in Him who remains faithful forever (Lamentations 3:22–23).
Our mission at Equipping Leaders International is to help leaders build on this Rock. We want them to lead with a foundation that holds firm when everything else shakes (Matthew 7:24–25).
Spurgeon’s charge to his own soul is one every Christian leader must heed: Put your all in Christ; set all your affections on His person… all your trust in His efficacious blood… and then you may laugh at loss and defy destruction (Colossians 3:1–3; Philippians 3:8–9). The call to ministry often involves sacrifice, suffering, and surrender, but Christ is the treasure that never fades (1 Peter 1:3–4).
As we equip leaders around the world, we’re reminding them that while all the flowers in the world’s garden fade, Jesus remains. And He is enough.
Whether in remote villages or bustling cities, we want each pastor and leader to know this truth: “I am with you always” is enough for my soul to live upon no matter who forsakes me (Matthew 28:20; Psalm 27:10). Christ is the Friend who never leaves (Proverbs 18:24), the Savior who walks with us through every flood (Isaiah 43:2), and the King who seats us in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). May we and the leaders we serve continue to build our lives and ministries on this immovable Rock (1 Corinthians 3:11).
