“For he persevered as though he could see the one who is invisible.”
– Hebrews 11:27b NET

Every one of us is driven by a pursuit or a dream, something that shapes our lives, our ministry, and our daily choices. We press on toward it, even when the path is uncertain or the results are unseen.

Scripture reminds us that “faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1, NET). Faith is the engine that carries us forward when visible progress feels slow. It is what sustains us in moments of doubt and discouragement.

For many believers around the world, this is not a theoretical idea. It is a daily reality. In seasons when the Church faces opposition or dwindling resources, the temptation to step back or change course can be strong. Yet, like the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11, we are called to persevere and to keep trusting in the One who sees beyond what we can.

Faith allows us to see life with eternal perspective.

It reminds us that hardship is temporary, that our God is sovereign, and that His promises are sure. He is faithful to guide His people through every challenge.

Recently, we had the joy of hosting a two-day leadership conference for pastors and ministry leaders. This time of equipping and encouragement brought together faithful servants of the Gospel who are laboring under difficult circumstances. Among our speakers was Dale Burke, a DTS alumnus, author, and professor with a passion for developing leaders around the world. His teaching refreshed and inspired many.

Two of the men who continue to inspire me deeply are Fredrick and Cosma, pastors who have been faithfully planting churches since I was in eighth grade. Their endurance in ministry is a living picture of perseverance through faith.

As we approach the end of the year, we are reminded that faith and generosity go hand in hand. When we give, we express trust in what we cannot yet see, in the fruit that God will bring from our obedience.

May this reflection encourage you to see Him who is invisible, to look beyond present circumstances, and to join us in strengthening the Church worldwide through your prayers and your generosity.

Together, we can equip faithful leaders who are pressing on, even in the unseen.
