“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” (John 9:4 NKJV)
As 2025 comes to a close, we are reflecting on a year filled with God’s provision and the generosity that makes this work possible. In July, our ministry in Malawi experienced one of the most impactful months of the year, full of trainings, fellowship, and encouragement as we continued to equip faithful leaders for gospel ministry.

Keeping Christ at the Center
The month began with a two-day training session for our 20-member Lilongwe Timothys class on July 2 and 3. During this time, pastors were introduced to the Preaching Christ course, a vital reminder to keep Jesus at the heart of every message. Pastor Joy Elias, a former student at African Bible College and now a member of the Equipping Leaders International Malawi board, co-taught the sessions. Many participants shared that they had not always made Christ the focal point of their sermons, and this new course reignited their passion to proclaim Him faithfully.

A Time to Rest, Reflect, and Refocus
Later in the month, national partners from six ministry centers gathered for our second annual retreat in Salima. It was a beautiful time to rest by the shores of Lake Malawi, reflect on the past year’s ministry, and refocus on what lies ahead. Team leaders shared updates on both the joys and challenges of their work, while our keynote speaker, Don Ward, encouraged everyone to look toward the future of our Timothys as they near the completion of their training.

Expanding the Work
After the retreat, we traveled south to continue training with our Blantyre, Migowi, and Mangochi teams. Together with Don Ward and John Collmus, we taught additional sessions on the Preaching Christ course, strengthening leaders’ ability to faithfully handle the Word of God.
As we prepare to launch two new teams next year, we ask for your continued prayers. Discussions are already underway, and we are planning introductory sessions with these new teams soon.
Your faithful partnership makes all of this possible. Every prayer and every act of generosity is helping to equip leaders who will continue the work of Christ while it is still day.
